All supplies are included in the price of the class, unless otherwise noted. Please wear clothes you can get messy in! We work with a torch, so have a way to tie back long hair.
If you are brand new to encaustic, please take the introductory class before registering for a technique specific class! All classes outside of the intro assume some knowledge of the basics of encaustic painting, prepping a panel, and working with a torch.
Please note: Full payment is due upon signing up/registering for the class. Due to the small class sizes and the difficulty in filling slots last minute, participants must notify me of cancellation at least 72 hours (3 days) before the class to receive full credit towards another class. No cash refunds. No call/no show means no credit. Thanks for your understanding!
In this 2 hour class, participants will learn how to build up medium with an accretion technique, carve, scrape back, and scratch into the surface to achieve different results.
Workshops and classes are held in my studio at Front Street Studios in Dayton. 1001 E. 2nd St., Dayton OH 45402. I’m located in Building 100. Come in the BC door, and it’s the first studio on the right!
